This… is Tiger.

This is our 16 year old kitty, Tiger.

Tiger has recently been diagnosed as being in the beginning stages of renal failure.  We’re having a difficult time trying to decide what to do with her.  We don’t want to let her go, but we don’t want her to suffer either.  16 is pretty old for a kitty.  She’ll be 17 on Halloween this year.

Yesterday, September 21st, was my birthday.   But this year’s birthday has to be the worst birthday I’ve ever had.  We put Tiger to sleep yesterday.  I didn’t want to do it, but I didn’t want to keep her knowing her quality of life was only going to deteriorate.

I miss her terribly.  I hope she knew how much she was loved by her humans.  It will never be the same without her.

This is Bubbles in her pink Igloo.

Bubbles passed away this morning (8/30/09).  I will dearly miss her.  One of the very last things she did was sit in my hand and eat a Cheerio.
